OUTFIT Gabrielle had been anxious all week. The day that Costin had come to clean out his locker had been the hardest of all. Gabrielle had to watch him since he was leaving, it was her of the Assistant Manager, and Gabrielle didn't trust her in any way. So, Gabrielle had sat there adn watched as she saw him unpacking all his belongings form the locker. Her own mind was struggling with the idea of it all as she just sat and watched him move. Once he'd finished she said a fairwell as if it would be the last time they met, but Gabrielle knew better. She handed him an envelope with the reccomendation written for any job he would need. It took all she had nto to reach out to him. Her own restrait had amazed her. Later in the week it had been relaxing, but unnerving to knew that they were going to have a great night. What they were doing she hadn't been sure since he'd been determined to surprise her. Gabrielle was happy for that. She'd spend a few hours dancing aorund her living room and blaring music when she'd realized it had been time to get ready. Her body stopped and got into the shower and relaxed as she leaned her head back a bit the steam rolling ove rher body. After that she got out and said a few spells to completely finish her look. Her hair was doen up and her make-up applied. She smiled as she tucked a spare strand of hair behind the band. Her hands reached to put on her jewlery while she sand along for a small moment, "C'mon, hit me with your best shot." She skipped and laughed before pulling on her dress and relaxing for a moment. Her hands smoothed over her lap to make it a bit smoother over her lap and bum. She then took a look in her mirror and smiled as she slipped into her heels and took a small breath and waited. t was all she could do at this point, right? Nope. Gabrielle turned down the music as she heard the doorbell ring and she called out, "Coming." Once she had she opened the door and asked, "Is it chilly tonight? Should I grab a jacket?" Her body slinked a bit towards her jacket as she waited to see what was going to happen.

Costin hadn't been looking for a job. He'd been working on this date... and his work with wands of course. He had everything ready for her. He apperated outside her apartment and then knocked on the door, walking in when he heard her voice. "Yeah, take a jacket. We're going to be out fairly late." He said, looking at himself quickly in the mirror. He hadn't worn his tux, but had opted for something close. a black suit with a white shirt and red tie... red just because he didn't want to look like he was going to a funeral. He waited for her to come out. He had it all planned out and he was nervous about it. He wanted it all to go just right. He didn't think she'd be upset if something went wrong, but he would. He would be furious... he'd worked really hard on this.
First they were going to dinner. He'd found a restaurant in london. It was at the top of a tower and they'd have an amazing view of the city. And the food was amazing, he'd made sure of that. Of course that wasn't it. He knew money wasn't going to impress Gabrielle, though he was hoping the view would, after that they were going to do a few other things. He was going to make this a memorable date, no matter what. He smiled and wiated for her to come out. He had reservations... but if they were late it'd be fine. He had paid them enough to make sure they could get in whatever time they showed up. It was something Costin was use to. Give someone enough money and they'd do anything to keep you happy.

Gabrielle heard him, and she turned with a smile as she spoke, "All right.." She grabbed a long peacoat that was dressy enough. It was silk lined and then had a thick wool that would keep her plenty warm tonight. She began to slip it on as she looked to him and smiled a bit as she spoke, "You have me dying with anticipation, love." She made no notice of the endearment she'd let slip out as she began to grab her bag. Once she was out the door she grinned a bit and pulled out her keys. She slipped the key into the lock and locked the door on the upper and lower lock before taking a step away from the door.
Gabrielle smiled as she looked to him and spoke, "Well, hello there." She leaned forward and pressed her lips against his. She stayed there for a moment before pulling away. She looked to him and bit her lip with wonder if she'd be allowed to grasp his hand or not. Her one hand held her purse and wondered where she should go next.

Costin smiled as she called him love, looking her up and down quickly. She looked amazing, that was no surprise. "You look fantastic." He said, kissing back. He took her hand. "We're going to have to drive, we're going to muggle london." He informed her. He didn't have a limo. He didn't need one, Costin did, infact, know how to drive. He got bored one summer and decided to get his muggle drivers lisence. It had been fun, and turned out pretty useful. He drove quite often. He even had a car. A nice one. He led her to the garage where he kept it, not too far from where she lived. He opened the door for her. "You're in for a great night if I do say so myself." He smiled and closed the door, going around and getting in on his side. He turned the car on.
"First we're going to dinner." He said. He didn't know how she ate on a date. He knew there were three kinds of girls. ones that refused to eat more than a couple of bites on a date, the ones that ate like it was their last meal, because they didn't have to pay. Then there were the normal girls... who ate like they would if they were there alone. He decided Gabrielle would probably be in that last category. She wasn't a goofy twenty something who thought a guy would legitimatly leave them at the table if they ate more than a bit of salad. He did speed... a lot. He wasn't the best driver, but he obeyed all the laws except for the speed limit. He got there in record time and stopped in front of the valet.

At him taking her hand she laughed a bit as she fell into step with him. She was excited to say the least, and when he told her that they were going to be driving she looked at him in mild amusement. She hadn't known that Costin could drive and the thought itself was intriguing. She'd never gotten her own Muggle license never seeing a point in it. She grinned a bit as she spoke, "I know I am, but that probably has nothing to do with the amazing man I have on a date with me, does it?" She kissed his cheek as she slipped into the car. She then smiled as she watched him go around to his own spot. She settled into the seat and watched him and the way he moved. It was all so enticing to her senses.
Gabrielle heard him tell her what they were doing first and she nodded without much comment. She sat in the car to no surprise when they arrived at such a quick pace. He stopped and then his door was opened and she watched as he came to hers and then opened it. Gabrielle let her hand fall gently into his as she looked at the building and spoke, "I have never been here, you know?" She slipped into his hold easily as they made their way to the front of the building. She wondered if she'd paid Costin enough for him to be treating her so well, and she wondered if she could help him in his job search again. That talk could come later though, she was sure.

He smiled. "Yeah, me too, but I've heard great things about it. So I figured we'd give it a try." He walked to the elevator as the doors opened. He hadn't even started thinking about finding a new job. He still had a few years as an apprintice and that meant he had some work, but he usually had quite a bit of free time. Costin knew that free time led to him doing stupid things. Idle hands are the devil's play things and all that. He got a job solely because he had been bored. He had nothing to do and so he decided to start bartending. He was thinking about trying something else now. Maybe cooking. He'd try and become a chef until he could take over the wand shop. Yeah that sounded like fun. the idea made him smile a bit. He looked down at her as the doors to the elevator closed.
"You're not afraid of heights right?" he asked. He just assumed she wasn't. She didn't seem the type to be afraid of anything. He didn't know why... probably the way she held herself. Or the way she decided to jump into a primarily male industry, running bars, and managed to have one of the most popular bars in the city. He looked at the numbers as they lit up. second, third, fifth, eighth, tenth. It just kept going up, feeling it was never going to end. Finally it did stop and the doors slid open smoothly. Costin's arm went around Gabrielle's waist before stepping out of the elevator. There was a host at the podium, a pen posed over the reservation book, waiting for a name. "Nicolae." he said to the waiting man.

At his words she gave a nod at the idea and then stepped into the elevator with him. She was next to him and then he'd smiled and looked down to her. At his words she gave a laugh as she spoke, "No, just water." At they watched the lights change her heart started racing with excitement. She'd never seen the view of the city from this high before. It was going to be an amazing new experience. One that she was glad she'd be enjoying with Costin. The way his arm held around her waist in almost a posessive manner made her grin widen as they walked off of the elevator to the host. When he said the name Gabrielle watched as his face met Costin's.
There was something about that look that Gabrielle didn't understand. When the host nodded and took their jackets and then lead them towards the table Gabrielle got her first peek out the windows. She felt her breath catch as she looked out in awe. A small tug lead her to continue to the table. She sat as her chair was held out and then she crossed one leg gently over the other. She looked across from her to Costin and smiled a bit, but she realized she knew little about him. She bit her lip and then grinned again as she set the napkin across her lap and took a small sip from the glass water she had.

It didn't occur to Costin that Gabrielle would find this weird. He thought she knew who his family was, and how much money he had. Though he knew she wouldn't know they used this restaurant for business all the time, so the man would know him pretty well. Costin smiled at the waiter. "Wine, your best." He nodded. The man nodded and turned to go back to the kitchen. "So, you like it?" he asked, looking out over the city. They were right next to the window so they could see out perfectly. The seats by the windows were harder to get during the dinner hour. He took his menu and looked at it, though he knew what they wanted. It was a high end menu, Steaks, lobster, all that jazz. He looked over the menu and then up at her with a smile.
Costin put the menu down, he knew what he wanted. He wanted a steak. He had this all planned out. Tonight was the glitz, he would spend quite a bit of money, make her feel like an absolute princess. Then tomorrow was the more relaxed, simpler date. "You do know that I'm keeping you all weekend right? Tomorrow we have plans." He said, quirking an eyebrow. He didn't think he had told her about tomorrow. But he fully intended on making sure she could go with him. He wanted to make sure she knew that it wasn't all going to be glitz, he knew that was horribly exhausting and not fun at all. After a while it got to be just way too much.

Demand came out across in his voice as he told the waiter what it was that he had wanted. Gabrielle wondered for a moment if the man was going to bring red or white wine. Seeing Costin like this was a different side of him. Se was able to feel like a female that was being tended to by her man. It was a different experience, but it was certainly a welcomed one. He asked if she liked it, and her mind was torn from her thoughts and she smiled a bit as she looked out again. The height was alarming, but height was not her major fear, so she was comfortable. The sky was darkening and she could see the lights of the city below them. Her smile grew as she spoke, "Very much so. You can see The Eye beautifully from here." Gabrielle gestured to The London Eye that was just upon the river. The lights of the tall Ferris wheel had caught her eye almost immediately when she'd looked out the window. She had never been in The Eye due to a great fear that the thing would topple over into the water and she might be trapped, but she was not quite ready to admit to that yet. Her want to go had been so much that once she'd bought the ticket. Then upon standing in the line she'd walked out before being places into it.
Not long after they were reading through their menus and Gabrielle was reading it with curiosity to what it was that she wanted. A steak seemed like a good idea, but so had the crab Alfredo. Gabrielle wasn't sure which she'd wanted and she bit her lip without thinking about having done it. He looked up to her and she gave him a smile in return and came to thinking about the options again. Gabrielle made the decision to go with the alfredo and then set her menu down in front of her carefully while they patiently waited for the return of their waiter. While waiting Gabrielle looked out the window again trying to catch the site and keep it embedded in her mind. When he spoke Gabrielle turned her head and looked to him. She felt her eyes go a bit wide as she asked, "We do?" Fear filled her for a moment about her bar. Could she go two nights and a whole day without checking on her bar? Gabrielle tried to push the thoughts away remembering that Costin told her that she'd need to let go some to try to make something real work. She could trust her managers and assistants to run the bar for two nights on their own.
At the quirk of his eyebrow she smiled as she took his hand for a moment and spoke, "That sounds wonderful." She let her hand drop away as she watched the waiter come with a bottle of red and white wine. She laughed gently as she looked to Costin. After that he spoke, "I was unsure which would pair with your meals appropriately, so I brought both." The waiter pulled out a small tablet and asked, "Have you decided what you will have tonight, madam?" Gabrielle smiled as she handed him her menu and spoke, "The crab and scallop alfredo, please." The waiter then turned to Costin and asked him what it was he would like for his meal.

Costin smiled when she said she liked it. He was glad. He had looked at several restaurants before deciding on this one. There were places that had other great qualities, but this one was just... the view couldn't be beat. He nodded in approval when the waiter brought them both. That was what he'd expected from them. "I want your filet mignon, medium rare." He nodded. "Mashed potatoes Yes." he handed the menu back and watched as they each got their wine. He took a drink, honestly they could have brought something cheap and he probably wouldn't notice. he didn't know a lot about wine. it was never something he really paid attention too. he just knew this tasted good. he nodded in approval and the waiter left to put the orders in
He looked at her reaction. "We do." he nodded. He smiled. "It'll be fine. When was the last time you actually had a vacation?" He asked. his grandparents lived in Italy, he would take her there eventually, the house was big enough that they could stay at their house and probably never run into his grandparents if they didn't want to. "i'm sure the bar will be fine. You can call after dinner and make sure the place hasn't gone up in flames." he wasn't worried. Gabrielle was smart, she wouldn't hire someone she didn't trust to do a good job of it. He took another drink of his wine. They also both had glasses of water, if they weren't in the mood for more wine. He looked at her. "Unless you don't want to go with me tomorrow." he added.

Gabrielle listened as he ordered and she took a sip from her glass. The wine was wine. She knew it was high rate wine, but she could care less. The chances were they wouldn't finish the whole bottle. Wine wasn't a huge wine drinker and chances were more than two glasses would get her sloshed because she normally didn't drink it. White wine had been her choice since she would be eating seafood later. Red would pair best with Costin's she knew, but she noticed he'd drank the white with her also. As the waiter left Gabrielle felt more at ease.
She heard him agree that they did have plans tomorrow, and it made her smile. She liked the idea of having plans with him. She heard his question, and she then thought about it. She sighed a bit as she spoke, "Disappointingly, last Christmas. Almost a year ago, and even then I really only took one day off. I wasn't at the bar for three though!" For that she was proud of herself till she realized it had almost been a whole year ago. He mentioned the bar and she laughed a bit as she spoke, "No, I am sure that Meg and Brandon have taken good care of it. I also have two assistant managers on staff tonight. For two days you have my full attention." She smiled a bit as she took another sip from her glass. She scooted it back on the table as she spoke again, "I do. I will have to stop by my flat and get some things if we are going back to your place though." She hadn't thought to pack a night bag.

He nodded as she talked about her last vacation. "Well what would you say to going to Italy sometime?" he asked. "Not right now, maybe for the New Year." he suggested. That would be fun. They could ring in the new year on the beach, watching fireworks. "We'd stay at my grandparent's house, but we could stay in the east wing, instead of the west... which is where their room is.' The house was obnoxiously huge. it was honestly big enough to hold the entire family. There was almost like... a connected guest house and he was sure they could stay there. if he contacted his grandparents before anyone else, he probably would. No one would think to go there for New years they were all kind of beyond doing something fun for new years.
He looked at her with a nod. 'I'm sure they'll be fine, they're smart." He actually had a conversation with Meg and she had been brilliant. She knew a lot about the Bar. He smiled softly. "Yeah, we can stop at your place." he nodded. That wouldn't be a problem. He had cleaned up his flat for her and everything. He Had everything set up and ready for tomorrow. it was going to be perfect. He was detirmined to make sure she had the best weekend of her life. he smiled to himself and took another drink. Yeah, Red wine usually went with steak... and he'd have some of the red later. he was paying for both bottles regardless, but he wanted to try the white first. He put the glass down and looked across the table at her.

He asked his question and Gabrielle was almost in shock at having been asked this on a first date, but then she smiled as she looked to him and nodded, "I would truly like that, Costin." The idea of being with him in Italy and enjoying his company on New Years would be nice. It would be the first New Years that she hadn't been at the bar and that she hadn't been kissed by some overly zealous drunk man that she hadn't even known. Yes, the ideas were making her stomach flutter at the idea. Being with him alone for a few days in a place that she'd been very few times. The idea of meeting his family might dawn on her later, but right now she was just too happy at the idea of being with him.
He told her that he was sure the bar was fine, and she nodded again as she spoke, "I know, and it is like you said. I need to find trust in some other people before I can try to be fully content with my own life too." He was right, and she knew that now. She needed to think about getting a partner so that her life could continue. Leaving and selling the bar completely was not an option to her. She sipped at her wine and then she heard him mention her clothing. She nodded a bit nervously. Why was she so nervous? She had already been intimate with Costin, and he wasn't running away yet despite the fact she'd been plastered and he'd been stone sober. What made her think that he might now? Maybe it was the fear that she was better as sex when she was drunk then not. When he'd looked up at her she realized how nervou she felt. She laughed a bit as she spoke, "If I had known ten years ago what I know now.." She'd have started dating younger men ages ago. Then again, most weren't like him.

Costin smiled. Yeah it was a bit fast, but seriously, he didn't see a real point in taking things slow. He really liked her, he seriously hoped they'd still be together, yeah he considered them together, at New years. "I'll owl my grandparents." He nodded. His mother knew he was seeing someone. he didn't know how she knew, he mother just seemd to know everything. She had asked him about her, but he hadn't said anything, but she wanted to meet Gabrielle. Though they had time, right now his mom was on a roll about his brother. Apparently he was dating a girl who's mother though they'd be getting married in the near future... go figure. of course Sorin was refusing to talk about it, so their mum was slowly losing her ever loving mind. Costin didn't want to give her anything else to obsess over
He nodded, he was glad she had thought over what he said... he was glad she hadn't been too drunk to forget what he said. He smiled, he knew she wasn't going to give the bar up, he wouldn't actually want her to, but at least she was taking what he said to heart. He smiled, he'd always been into older women, but he'd only dated a couple, and the age difference was never as big as the difference between himself and Gabrielle. his last girlfriend had been a couple years older than him, and the only before that was about five years older. The problem was, they dated younger men so they could act like younger women. Gabrielle still acted her age even though he was nine years younger. She didn't try to act like she was twenty one years old.

Gabrielle heard him say that he would owl his grandparents and she could only nod because the nerves were beginning to get to her about meeting his family. She knew very little about them. She then smiled at the thought that he wanted her to meet them. he wanted hr to be around still in a few months and he wanted her period. She felt a smile come to her lips as she thought of such things. She then shook her head as she spoke again, "It will be a nice little break from things. I am sure it will be wonderful." And that she was sure of. She didn't know what the weather where they were from would be like around that time, but they could be in Russia, and Gabrielle was sure that she'd enjoy her time with Costin in one way or another.
The silence gave her time to think and for that she was not grateful. She'd rather be in a cozy little pub at this moment so she could be curled up next to him in the booth. This was not that kind of place though. She took a sip of her wine and looked out over the view again. It was almost completely dark out and the lights shone through the windows like fireflies in the dark. She looked to The Eye again and saw it lit up and rotating. She suppressed her shiver. She then heard the waiter come and tell them that their meals were ready. She smiled as she watched the waiter set the meal before her. Then Costin got his own. She smiled a bit as she asked the waiter for another water without ice. She was sure that her cheeks were already blushed rosy from the first glass of wine.
