Being in her dreaded office all day when she had nothing better to do was beginning to get old, and Gabrielle had decided that life needed to be more than that. All she had in this life was her bar. Well, of course she'd had her sister's family too, but that wasn't hers. It was Fleur's. Of course, sometimes it would be shared and that had always been nice. The Weasleys were always very welcoming into their home for Gabrielle, and that she was truly thankful for. It meant that she was able to still celebrate the holidays like a normal person that was part of a family. It was important in her mind, and it often made her wonder why she just hadn't picked a man and settled down. Then again, she had never been one to be a trophy wife, and it was obvious that she dated men who would never have supported a working wife.
Gabrielle had owled her nieces and found out when they were expected to go on their next Hogsmeade trip and asked if they had wanted to grab a butterbeer at Three Broomsticks before doing a little shopping, all expenses on her. She had heard back, but it had been brief. She imagined that her nieces were busy with their classes, and she'd been prepared and waiting for the day. Gabrielle had been up late the night before with some pressing things at the bar. There had been a man that was overly drunk, and Gabrielle had to deal with the local law enforcement and file a statement. She hadn't been happy to come in, but she'd managed. She always managed. It had just made getting up early the next morning difficult.
Gabrielle woke up to see small snow flurries coming down and she knew that there would be colder weather, wind, and snow waiting for her in Hogsmeade. Her clothing became a different choice as she put on her jeans, boots, sweater, jacket, and scarf with hat. She then apparated to Hogsmeade and waited. Once she got there she took the few steps to walk into Three Broomsticks. The pub was fairly empty for the time being. Gabrielle took off her hat and scarf as she stepped in and then found a table for the three of them. Once she sat down she ordered her own butterbeer as she waited.
